Great hotel. We went in April and this hotel was an affordable option. Rooms are small as is typical for Japan, but look brand new. Kids stay free which made it really cheap (we had two adults, a 4yo and a 7yo in a twin room and it was fine). The level two lounge and pool area is really nicely done. Pool isn't huge but it feels big and spacious. Swimmable in mid April. Hot/onsen pool was bigger than we expected (and hotter!) - good for warming up after the pool. Free ice cream was a big hit with the children. Free drinks far exceeded our expectations in both variety and quality and included some non alcoholic options. Breakfast buffet was really great with lots of variety from sashimi to curry to burritos to croissants! They even had Okinawan sea grapes and jimami (peanut tofu). For Y500 you could buy a box to fill at the buffet to take away for lunch (you have to have paid for breakfast also) - we found this really useful the day we left to catch a ferry, saved us time sourcing lunch. Washing machines are free (including detergent), dryers are Y100/30min. Location is excellent, really close to Makishi monorail station and close to Kokusaidori and tsuboya pottery street.

Asides from all the amenities one expects from a hotel resort in Okinawa, the biggest perk of the Hinode was the direct access to the monorail, which made not only traveling from and to the airport a breeze but also gives easy access to all the important spots at Naha like Shuri Castle and the Bus Terminal. The hotel itself is located at the start of one of the biggest shopping centers in the isle, the International Avenue, which is another big plus. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the pools are great to relax in. On top of that, the staff is very attentive and engaging with the guests. I greatly enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

We didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, as it tends to get quite crowded in the mornings. However, our family enjoyed the complimentary soba noodles, ice cream, beer, and more. While the food wasn’t gourmet, it was exactly what we needed after a late evening check-in. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, just a 3-minute walk to Kokusai-dori Street and only 3-5 minutes from the Times Rental Car office. It’s also about a 20-minute ride on the YuiRail monorail from the airport. The neighborhood was quiet, and the staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating. Would recommend for its convenience and hospitality!

I like most everything about Hinode hotel and hot spring, the hot spring is surprising the color and smell of the natural volcanic underground hot water, so relaxing! the breakfast was especially amazing every day, so much variety, and healthy one as well. the drink station throughout the day was very appreciated, with an ice cream station as well, lots of refreshments. the staff so welcoming and respectful, always there to help and great with the most genuine smile, especially Mr. Akamine one of the chef in the morning

Hot spring water was very relaxing. Room was spacious (for Japan). Free dinner between 20:30-21:30 and also free fun activities between 17:30-18:30 (which sometimes is dessert!). The breakfast buffet was good and they switched up some dishes each day. All you can eat ice cream all day and all you can drink alcohol starting after breakfast. Laundry machines were always available and easy to operate. And the hotel location was right next to a monorail station! Very convenient (☆▽☆)
